ð – Neurodiverse Friendly Pictures with Santa

| The Autism Community Store is a unique entity, the only community center in the country dedicated to offering inclusive and targeted programming for neurodiverse individuals and the families and providers who support them. Current programs include a Resource and Support Center, an annual Autism Resource Fair, workshops and trainings on autism-related topics, support groups for caregivers, adult self-advocates, teens on the spectrum, neurodiverse fitness classes and social events such as outdoor movie nights and community holiday celebrations. The center is a walk-in facility located in Aurora whose doors are open 6 days a week. Accessible and friendly, the Autism Community Center serves an economically and ethnically diverse population, breaking barriers and helping connect people with services, supports and each other. In addition to free programming options, we are a regional retail destination for families and organizations to purchase items specifically to support the safety, comfort and developmental needs of individuals with autism and sensory processing disorder.
There will be no fees, no lines and no judgement at our Pictures with Santa event. Pictures will be emailed to families at no cost after the event. In 2021, we had approximately 40 people attend our Pictures with Santa and about 63 percent were families served by Developmental Pathways. We limited our attendees because of COVID and only had people sign up for time slots. This year we plan on having a hybrid sign-up where people can sign up for time slots in the morning or drop in to see Santa in the afternoon. If Developmental Pathways sponsors the Pictures with Santa, we will add your logo to the flyer and will include our thanks in our social media outreach before and after the event, and in any media exposure we receive. |
