What is a Medicaid Waiver Program and How Can It Help
A waiver is an extra set of Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) benefits for individuals who meet specific criteria and would benefit from additional supports.
These programs include services like respite for caregivers, support with areas of daily living, day programming, community connection, and supported employment, all with the intention of providing individuals with supports in their communities rather than in institutional settings.
The programs listed below are the current Medicaid Waivers in Colorado, which support individuals with I/DD to live their most independent and integrated lives.
